The trip to USA without seeing Washington DC is incomplete.I went to Washington with my grandparents in the Cherry Blossom week. It was a long trip travelling from Hartford,CT to Washington. The distance was about 340 miles from Hartford,CT. Tbest time to visit Washington is mid of April,as the weather is perfect at that time.We left at about 1:30 pm in the afternoon on Friday and reached at 11 pm in the night. We stayed at Fairfax marriott hotel at fair oaks hotel. It was a very nice hotel and the service was also good. It was time when our parents came from India.So enjoying with them was just fun.
Washington is famous for its Museum. The famous places to see in Washington DC are the White house,National Mall, United States Capitol, National Zoological park, National Museum of natural history, Washington Monument , Franklin Roosevelt memorial, Martin Luther King Jr memorial.
The next day we left the hotel at 9 in the morning. We parked our vehicle in front of Warner Theater and began walking from there towards the National Mall going to Washington Monument. There was also a kite festival at that time near the monument .It was an awesome experience seeing such different types and beautiful kites.

After seeing the Cherry blossom and kite festival we went walking through the White house. I am posting aome of my pics at the White house.
On the same day we book the tickets for the Night tour sightseeing. We purchased the tickets for Big Bus tours.The guide was good and he gave a lot of information about the places they showed us. It was a very good experience seeing the Washington city from the top of the bus. We visited the Franklin Roosevelt memorial and saw many famous places.
Franklin Roosevelt served as a Assistant Secretary at the Navy,became the 44th Governor of New york and then served as 32nd President of United States from 1933 to 1945 and won four Presidential elections.
On Sunday, we were to return back to Hartford CT. Before returning back to Hartford , we went to National zoo and National Museum. The entry to the National Zoo is free and my child enjoyed watching the animals very much.

After the Museum we return back to Hartford and reached around 1:00 am in the night.
